Introducing DRG system in Albania

The Conference “Hospital Financing: Diagnosis Related Groups – Leading the debate” – will be held on Friday 15 january in Tirana. The conference’s focus will be: analyzing the first results by the implementation of the DRG system in albanian hospitals and a comparison with the tuscany’s ones.
150 PUBLIC OFFICIALS and managers of albanian public healthcare structures and the ambassador of Italy in Tirana and the health Ministry of Albania will attend the event.

The conference organized in the framework of the project “Introducing Health Information System (IHIS): a modern approach to transparency and accountability in the Albanian Public Health” – IASDA Programme- financed within the Italian Albanian Debt for Development SWAP Agreement, whose leading partner is the Ministry of Albania Republic and technical partners Tuscany Region and Catholic University “Nostra Signora del Buon Consiglio” in Tirana. The general objective of the IHIS project is to promote an experimental experience in order to reform of the funding system in hospital services aimed to introduce DRG into albanian national healthcare system.
